The Encyclopedia of Women of Theatre is an ever expanding reference database of women who have contributed to the world of theatre prior to 1900.

Our goal is to ultimately include as many women as we can find with a comprehensive list of reference for further research. This site is meant as an aid to historians and theatre enthusiasts in their search for the feminine voice in theatre.

We are constantly looking for new names to add and additional information on those already listed. To better accommodate your needs we have two levels of membership: $5.00/month or $25.00/year.
